The second meeting of guest lectures by Prof. Aizawa was held on Tuesday August 19, 2017. The same place as the previous day, this time he explained the use of short-range laser for the manufacturing industry.

Laser or Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission Radiation is a monochrome ray-producing system with high power using a certain medium. The laser has four main parts: resources, medium and reflector mirrors, and half-transparent glass. Based on the medium the laser is divided according to its classification of Solid laser, Liquid-state laser, Gaseous-state Laser, Semi-conductive State Laser, and others. The laser also has characteristics by selecting one of two states, coherent on the spot or coherent at a time.

He also explained how a device is formed using laser characteristics. The drill prototype uses a light-adjustable laser, its cutting direction, depth of drilling, and meeting the industry’s need for more complex tasks. In addition he also emphasized that every thing related to the physical changes of the object of exposure must be observed carefully in order to obtain a tool that has a high value for use.

At the end of the presentation he took the time to take pictures with the participants and lecturers.
