In order to realize a good collaboration between academics and industry, ASMAT invited Mr. Nurkholis Wahyudi from PT Schneider Indonesia. He currently serves as PM Manager. For two days, 15-16 November 2018, he shared his experiences about his career and life journey. And more importantly, how is the role of science in the world of work.
On the first day, He explained the instrumentation work system. There are two design systems that must be made so that production and manufacturing activities can run well. The system that must be made is the Process System and Safety System. This system can be done using three common schemas, Distributed Control System (DLC), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). The second schema usually for automatic shutdown system (i.e crash or malfunction), and the last part is mostly used in a centralized data and supervisory control system.
On the following day, He describes in depth about three schemas and how Schneider Electrics and branch apply this method. He also introduces brief steps on how to deal project with the best-known standard. The steps taken are designing architectural diagrams, creating basic designs, sharing with consumers about design and getting feedback, execution, and providing services.
